Planning Permission was granted in June 2014 for this new eco house set in a rural village location on the outskirts of Milton Keynes. The new house will incorporate a variety of sustainable design features including an air source heat pump linked to underfloor heating, a photovoltaic electrical array, solar thermal water heating, rainwater recovery and recycling to minimise mains water usage, and an off grid waste treatment plant including reed bed filtration. A super insulated building shell will minimise heat losses and further reduce running costs for the home owner. The construction is due for completion mid 2015.
